♡ I graduated film school in 2019 with a BFA in Screenwriting (Emphasis in TV and Cinema)!! I do a lot of art but my passion in life is writing♡ I'm from the Bay Area! I lived in LA for school and moved back after 5 years!♡ I normally booth in anime conventions in California, lately trying to booth more out of state!♡ I love cosplaying! What is hummus?
Hummus is a Middle Eastern dip, spread, or savory dish made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. The standard garnish in the Middle East includes olive oil, a few whole chickpeas, parsley, and paprika.In Middle Eastern cuisine, it is usually eaten as a dip, with pita bread. When was the first time you've had hummus?
The first time I had hummus I was a freshmen in high school my friend Jennie had a sandwich with hummus spread on it. She let me try it and it was the best fucking thing I've ever had and went on a quest to eat more hummus.Hummus is now my comfort food and I eat it on special occassions because its yumymuymumYUMMUYMYUMUMY!
Why are you the king of hummus tho?
I'm not! King was an online name I used to go by! One of the usernames I went by was Hummmus (hummus with three "m's") but being called Hummus wasn't doing it for me LMFAO So I had my username as HummusKing at one point and eventually HummusKingClyde. I had transitioned my sophomore year of high school and really wanted to be called by my name, and even to this day I prefer to only be called Clyde.I've been called Hummus at cons and I think it's funny LMFAO I'll respond to it (if I can hear it) but please call me Clyde!I think I also changed it to HummusKingClyde when I found out there's a brand called HummusKing and I couldn't get the twitter @. LMFAO
Should I try hummus?
Sure?? If you like the texture of bean dips then you'll be fine! Hummus you can get at your supermarket BUT HERES THE THING: The most popular brand that is well-known and accessible is Sabras, which I personally hate.
It might not be possible depending on location, but I definitely recommend trying to buy hummus locally at a farmer's market!! If not, these are some brands I love!
There's a lot of different flavors too, or I guess more additional hummus flavors such as garlic, roasted pine nuts, red peppers. There have been... really strange flavors I've seen Boar's Head produce like pumpkin pie hummus or chocolate hummus and it makes me scared and I've never tried them but as long as there's chickpeas in it I guess it's still hummus.You'll also notice that you might see "Greek" or "Mediterranean" labels with hummus, as it is a popular bean dip in both cultures. From Hope Foods, they describe different tastes in hummus from specific regions: "However, there are differences; these countries would serve different traditional food with their hummus recipes, and would tend towards making their hummus with local ingredients—i.e., a Greek hummus would likely use Greek olive oil and chickpeas, whereas a Lebanese hummus would use ingredients sourced closer to Lebanon." (HopeFoods)Anyway!! Feel free to try hummus if you'd like! It's really yummy with pita bread, but chips are good too! I like eating hummus with carrots or veggie sticks, but I will also just eat hummus with any and all bread or by itself because I'm apeshit...

That's cool yo! If it's not for ya then it's chill. But hey, at least you can say you've had it! I've had some dogshit hummus before too, and I get not everyone's gonna like the texture! (I don't like beans in general because of the texture!)
